MediWiSe participates in Partnering Workshops in China
MediWiSe was invited and awarded a travel grant by Innovation China UK (ICUK), as part of a competitive process, to participate in the UK-China Innovation Forum and Technology Partnering Workshop on Medical Devices which took place in Beijing and Shanghai between the 26th and 29th March.
This event, run by FCO/BIS Science Innovation Network (SIN) and Innovation China UK (ICUK) brought together over 150 companies and research institutes from the UK and China which used the opportunity to present products and technologies, seek R&D and business partners and exchange innovative ideas.
The technology partnering workshops were jointly organised by Beijing and Shanghai S&T Commissions. In Beijing, the workshop was part of Life Science B2B partnering section at the Beijing International Technology Transfer Conference. In Shanghai, the workshop was co-organised by Shanghai Technology Transfer and Exchange Centre (STTE) targeting medical devices companies in Qinpu, Xuhui and Zhangjiang districts.
With the ever-increasing development of Chinese industries, the demand for a wide range of technologies is growing rapidly in China and many of these companies are looking further afield for potential solutions. MediWiSe is excited about the opportunities offered by this market and is currently looking at the development of a number of strategic partnerships with Chinese companies.
